Leukemia & Limphoma Society (LLS): Translational Research Program - Letter of intent

Translational Research Program - Letter of intent: to accelerate transfer of findings from the laboratory to clinical application; To fund research that shows high promise for translating basic biomedical knowledge to prevention or new treatments and, ultimately, to prolong and enhance life. Funding: $200K/year for 3 years. A renewal of the grant may be funded for an additional 2 years if it includes an approved clinical trial and a fully justified research plan.
* Quality of Life Research Initiative: The LLS recognizes the increasing need for research opportunities that will help make treatment safer when it comes to its long-term and late effects on individuals who have leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. This initiative seeks to find the biological mechanisms that cause late effects and to develop and test measures to prevent or at least significantly reduce toxicities. The Quality of Life Research Initiative's goal is to make current therapies less harmful without sacrificing effectiveness, thus making a difference in patients' lives. The Quality of Life Research Initiative is a subcategory of the Career Development and Translational Research grant programs. You must apply to the initiative through one of these two programs.
