British Council: BIRAX Regenerative Medicine Initiative

Proposals for joint research projects between the UK and Israel in regenerative medicine are invited. The BIRAX Regenerative Medicine Initiative aims to strengthen academic collaboration between the UK and Israel, develop advanced regenerative medicine therapies including both their discovery and translation and establish UK/Israel as a leading partnership in regenerative medicine. Funding: up to £400K over 3 years. The fields of research to be supported in the framework of this Call for Proposals include but are not restricted to:
1. Developmental biology related to regenerative medicine;
2. Stem cell biology related to cell therapy;
3. Development of diverse Cell Therapy approaches;
4. Tissue Engineering and Biomedical Engineering that combine biological, chemical and material sciences;
5. Use of novel gene replacement technologies for therapeutic purposes.
The research studies can offer a wide spectrum of novel and original approaches, using state of the art research approaches relevant to Regenerative Medicine.
