* Standard Awards provides funding for researchers who have already generated some amount of preliminary data, but often still require significant progress before they can apply to governmental or industrial funding agencies. Funding: $400K over 3 years;
* Pilot Awards are designed to take a highly innovative proposal with modest preliminary data and give investigators the opportunity to prove their ideas. They are often given to investigators who need funding to demonstrate the validity of a very focused hypothesis. Funding: $150K over 2 years.
* Postdoctoral Fellowship Awards are intended for young researchers in their final stages of mentored training. These awards are meant to fund projects in an established laboratory that will serve as the basis for the applicant's own independent research career. Funding: $100K over 2 years.
