Flight Attendant Medical Research Institute - FAMRI: award programs - letters of intent.

FAMRI’s primary focus is on tobacco smoke studies. This year FAMRI will support research on the effect of second hand tobacco smoke exposure on respiratory diseases; specifically, chronic sinusitis, cilia abnormalities, chronic bronchitis, COPD, emphysema, asthma/allergies and chronic auto immune diseases. Funding: $100K/year, for 3 years.
* Clinical Innovator Awards Program is to stimulate novel medical and clinical scientific research studies on the topic of second hand tobacco smoke.
* Young Clinical Scientist Awards Program is to help prepare and support new clinical investigators with a MD or PhD as they begin their careers as independent researchers.
