* A - Small Grant Application (SGA): grants are primarily intended for research proposals by young clinicians who are doing initial clinical research (preliminary studies). Funding: up to CHF 50K (~ €43K);
* B - Research Proposal for Clinical or Laboratory Research (RCL): grants for researchers or research groups with an established reputation for credibility and thoroughness in the field, as demonstrated by a continuous publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Funding: CHF 100K - CHF 200K (~ €86K - ~ 173K.)
* C - Research Program Projects (RPP): grant proposals may contain several single research projects or several single aspects within a major line of research. Funding: CHF 200K (~173K). Period 3 - 5 years.
