DOD-CDMRP Autism Research Program: Pilot Award

Supports conceptually innovative, high-risk/high-reward research that could ultimately lead to critical discoveries or major advancements that will drive the field of ASD forward. Applications in the following areas are encouraged:
- Studies that lead to improved sub-grouping of individuals with autism spectrum disorders to inform on the mechanisms, natural history, and response to treatment;
- Identification of therapeutic targets, excluding new gene discovery;
- Studies that leverage existing biological samples, clinical populations, and databases to provide power to test ideas.
Funding: $100,000 over 2 years.
