DOD-CDMRP: Prostate Cancer Research Program - Impact Award

Preproposal. Supports high-impact studies (including clinical trials) toward reducing or eliminating the problem of overtreatment of primary PC. Areas of interest include but are not limited to development/improvement of surveillance mechanisms, biomarkers, improved staging (including imaging), optimal measures to inform decision-making pre- and post-biopsy, optimal measures for follow-up and assessment of progression, and cancer care outcomes research (e.g. quality of life, survivorship) and surveillance. Multidisciplinary teams inclusive of clinical specialists are a key feature. Preliminary data to support feasibility are required. Max funding $750K over max 5 years.
