Ministry of Agriculture: The Italy Israel Cooperation in Agricultural Research Program 2011

The program will fund agricultural research proposals with a focus on leading edge science in the following areas:
A) Genomic technologies applied to horticulture and fruit sectors;
B) Sustainable agriculture and natural resources management (water, soil).
From Italy, eligible are scientists affiliated with the national council of agricultural research (CRA). Italian scientists affiliated with other public or private nonprofit research institutions can apply only under the coordination of CRA.  Budget: The total available budget for the 2011 program will not exceed 1.000.000 € (500.000 € per country). it is recommended to take into account that the funding bodies expect to award at least one project from each of the two research areas.
