DOD-CDMRP: Ovarian Cancer Research Program - Translational Pilot Award

Translational Pilot Award: Supports innovative translational research addressing a critical problem in ovarian cancer that will accelerate the movement of promising ideas toward clinical applications. Supports all areas of ovarian cancer research, but encourages projects from 7 research areas:
- Initiation and precursor lesions in ovarian cancer;
- Novel approaches for the evaluation of predictive biomarkers;
- Understanding of the host and microenvironment;
- Novel imaging approaches for screening and management;
- Innovative insights into etiology and risk factors for ovarian cancer;
- Contributions to understanding health disparities in ovarian cancer;
- Mechanisms of DNA instability or cellular senescence.
 Preliminary data not required, but allowed. Funding: $200K ($250K with a nested Teal Predoctoral Scholar) over 2 years. Anticipate 9 awards. Pre-proposal.
