* Gemini & systems and infrastructure problems:  Proposals leveraging Gemini and Gemma to advance next-generation computing infrastructure. The funded projects will focus on enhancing the efficiency, security, and sustainability of future computing systems, with a particular emphasis on machine learning for cross-stack optimization, hardware design, and efficiency improvements. [$100K for one year]

* Making Education Equitable, Accessible & Effective using AI:  Google is committed to using AI to improve educational outcomes for all learners, focusing on equity and inclusivity. We are seeking proposals on topics such as AI systems to improve student learning, evaluating AI-based educational solutions, empowering teachers with AI, developing guidelines for complex historical narratives, creating accessibility tools, facilitating collaboration and SEL development, and implementing AI for enhanced learning. [$100K]

* Quantum transduction and networking for scalable computing applications:  Google believes distributed quantum computing offers significant advantages and aims to support research in this area. Specifically, Google seeks proposals on topics like transduction of superconducting qubits to transmission media, direct transduction of alternative platforms to superconducting qubits, and development of applications for distributed quantum systems beyond parallel compute and quantum key distribution. [$150K]

* Society-Centered AI:  The program aims to harness the transformative potential of AI for societal benefit through a multi-stakeholder approach, focusing on understanding diverse needs and developing impactful solutions. We invite research proposals that advance AI applications for underserved communities, promote stakeholder participation in AI development, or study the integration of AI and society.  [$100K for one year]

* Trust & Safety Research Award:   Proposals to improve digital safety across the online ecosystem, particularly in areas like scams, safety by design, misinformation, child safety, and generative AI. The award welcomes research from various disciplines. [$100K for one year]
