Applied research in the following fields:
- Advanced computing, with emphasis on Learning Algorithms and, Data Mining;
- Marine and Water Sciences, with emphasis on Marine Biology and, Physical Oceanography ;
- Alternative Energies, with emphasis on petroleum alternatives for transportation;
Funding: One institution - 600,000 NIS over 3 years (with one or more groups from same institution).
More than One institution - 2 Million NIS over 3 years.  The overall budget for the program is 15M NIS.
