Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research: Improving L-DOPA Delivery 2011

Pre-Proposals
Development and testing of therapies for PD that are directed  at enabling more continuous delivery of L-DOPA.  The most compelling proposals will include in vivo (animal or human) testing of L-DOPA delivery strategies. Depending on the stage of development, both preclinical and clinical projects are appropriate.  In vitro studies or chemistry based projects are acceptable but should describe plans to move quickly towards testing in pre-clinical animal models.  Funding: MJFF will commit up to $1.5 million to this RFA and intends to fund multiple proposals although it would consider funding a single high-impact proposal if appropriate. Project period: up to 2 years for preclinical proposed experiments, and 3 years for clinical studies.
