John Templeton Foundation: Applied Research on Intellectual Humility - LOI

To advance the applied science of intellectual humility the program welcomes empirical proposals from various disciplines to investigate the development of interventions to cultivate intellectual humility. Projects should involve an interdisciplinary approach and focus on one of the following aims: (1) Identify psychological mechanisms to promote intellectual humility, or (2) Develop interventions to promote intellectual humility in real-world contexts.

Standard Grants - up to $250K over 30 months.  For exceptionally promising projects, we may consider funding 2-3 projects up to $400K.

Early Career Grants - up to $25K over 12-30 months for projects led by an advanced doctoral student or early career professional (< 5 years post terminal degree) in psychology, philosophy, theology, or religious studies.
