Meta AI (Facebook): Foundational Integrity Research

Aim: to enrich understanding of challenges related to integrity issues outlined in our Community Standards on social media and social technology platforms. Research is not restricted to Meta applications and technologies.

Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Interventions to encounter misinformation
• Information processing around sensational, hateful, divisive, or provocative problematic content
• Violence and incitement, hateful and/or graphic content
• Misinformation across formats
• Trust, legitimacy, and information quality
• Coordinated harm and inauthentic behavior
• Digital literacy, demographics, and misinformation

Funding: $50K or $100K. Overhead 5%.
